I love the feeling you get when you discover a new place that you know makes your city a better place. On our way to a dinner party at a friend’s, Frank and I stopped at a corner store that took us back in time. Decorated in a 1920′s theme, Old School Emporium is not your typical grocery store, they focus in organic and local grown food, and even grow their own vegetables, and did I mention they’re located a block from 17th? (16th and 8th Street SW to be exact), which is super central and convenient! Plus you have a couple of really friendly faces (like Evan) to make your shopping experience unforgettable.  So, next time you are on your way to a dinner party, don’t show up empty handed, stop by Old School Emporium and pick up some Fiasco Gelato or some fresh ingredients if you are the host.

I really loved this place and their candy wall, and I know you will too!

And that’s the way I like it, yeah!

Thank you for reading!
