I went to see my financial advisor a few weeks ago, and he said that we only get rich depending on how much we put in. A lot of people are looking for that golden nugget that will yield a high return on their investment. But, even if you find your nugget and it gives you 100% return, if you only invest $1 you will only end up $2. Our wealth is built upon on how much we put in. The more we put in, the more we get in return. The more hours we practice, the better we get. The more we give, the more we receive. It’s the simple law of reciprocity that reminds us that there are no shortcuts to any place worth going to.

Daylight savings has taken away the sun from my moments at home during the week, so for the next five or six months the ratio of night shots vs day shots is going to increase dramatically. And, though it’s mostly monochromatic outside with different shades of white from all the snow that has been falling, my wardrobe remains colourful and happy. Just look at the purse on the table, a present from my mom from her trip to New Orleans: a dash of hippie, a dash of happy and totally my style.
