I love that little things can say so much about one person. By looking at the picture above you can draw so many conclusions, and although you don’t really know a person until you know a person, you can still see that the shoes really fit their  respective owners.
This is also my cleverly fitting prelude into my very own life philosophy that I choose to call “The shoe that doesn’t fit”.
As a woman (and consequently also a shoe lover), every time I walk into a shoe store I go oooohhh and aaaahhhhh over so many beautiful pairs that enticingly proclaim that I try them on, even buy them. Sometimes you find an absolutely gorgeous pair that doesn’t fit quite right. You can force it all you want, but it’s only going to make your feet hurt.
In our lives there are people and opportunities that looks absolutely wonderful but for some reason they just don’t fit. Even if we love them. So we can force them, or try to hold on to them, but ultimately if they don’t fit, they don’t fit. Period.
So when the shoes don’t fit remember it’s not you, it’s the shoes.
Unless you haven’t clipped your toenails in a while, in which case ewww!
Here are some pictures from Park Show 2013, a fashion, music and art show started by a group of young ladies who wanted to give a venue for artists to share their art. These women started PARK (which stands for Promoting Artists, Redefining Kulture) in university, and after five years it’s evolved and grown to attract larger and larger audiences, and giving artists a much larger platform to showcase their talents. How inspiring!
One of the many reasons I love Calgary: it’s full of talented individuals making shit happen!

This was the first time I tried to do this hairdo, and not only did it turn out great, but coincidentally we also found this poster from a different era with the same classic look.
Thanks to Elle.com for this great up-do idea!
